“School days, school days, good ol’ golden rule days…” as my mom would always annoyingly sing as she flicked my bright bedroom light on to wake me on the first day of school. Ugghhh, it was so brutal, yet these days I find myself doing the very same thing to my three girls. Haha! It’s funny how we do the same things as our parents. I have mixed emotions with the kids back in school and back to routines like fall sports (Go Hawks!), crisp air, and colorful fall foliage. Yet, no matter how we feel about it, the time always comes and onward and upward we must go. And with that, onward and upward goes business, with several upcoming events and meetings in store for the Juniper Capital team.
We have a full schedule of community, business, and finance events in September, including the Income Property Lunch on September 4 at the Harbor Club in Seattle. Wayne Lau, Executive Director of Rainier Valley Community Development, and David Essig, Director of Community Development, will present an update on Development Activity (and opportunities) in Rainier Valley.
On September 11, I’m looking forward to the CREW Seattle & Sound luncheon titled Influential Women in Northwest Development, with insight from from four of the Northwest’s most influential women in the fields of real estate development, management and strategy.
Then, on September 16, we have a Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association dinner at Broadmoor Golf Club. Brad Blackwell, Executive Vice President and portfolio business manager at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage will speak to portfolio management in this changing market.
Good luck getting back into the back-to-school routine! Follow the Juniper Capital blog for more information about hard money loans, local events, and financial advice.
Until next month…
